PresentAlice Curteis, Averill Marks, Marie Robinson, Peter Robinson, Andrew Smith, Mary Popple Apologies none Read previous Minutes of 24 March 2009. 1. Matters arising from last minutes
· PR had contacted Scottish Fair Trade Forum to advise them that we are still hoping to design a banner and have it made.
2. Finances
· Currently we have about £500 in total; £150 of the SFTF grant of £500 had been spent on sample sachets of tea, coffee etc.
3. Finders
· AS has provisionally listed data for the 2009 Finder: it was decided to note products actually in store rather than what stores claim to have. · Outlets
that have gone were noted (Woolworths,
Rodgers, J. Graves) and some new ones added ( · Finalised Finders to be handed out round town provisionally on Sat 29 August. MR to make up a rota, hopefully with assistance from our wider group of helpers. Freebies (tea, coffee etc) to be offered at same time. 4. Certificates
· AS amended these to include our campaign website address, the SFTF logo and acknowledgement of their support. · 60 of the new design to be delivered to AC prior to distribution; AS to divide up list of recipients into 6 for delivery by each of our group. · MR to draft a letter to be given to businesses at same time as certificate and a Finder, with an up-date on Fairtrade issues locally, in Fife and Scotland, and asking them to update us on any changes to their Finder listing. · MP to give a ‘used here’ certificate to the R&A Clubhouse, and PR will forward examples of our certificates to SFTF. 5. Website
· Alasdair Popple will transfer our website to his provider in the next few weeks, and MP and he will then update it. Our arrangement with the current provider will not be renewed in September. Email addresses for use in forwarding messages were confirmed. · Need

6. The R&A and Open 2010
· MP reported no changes in the position since the last meeting. · It is expected that more input will be required from us in the autumn, probably jointly with the University and Fife Council. 7. Fife Fair Trade Forum
· PR reported on progress with a schools’ competition for a Fife FT logo, plans for a pre-Christmas event. · The difficulties of data collection re. FT outlets Fife-wide were discussed. · ‘The

· New schools’ regulations will mean that no more chocolate or cocoa products can be sold at school tuck-shops. Size of packets of snacks also seems to be an issue. · MR to contact editor of St Andrews in Focus re. possibility of an article in the Sept/Oct issue. · How best to encourage use of FT products in more local B&Bs, in time for Open, to be discussed at next meeting. · PR
