1. St Andrews Day Reception

Display

FStJ had spoken to several local shops who donated some Fairtrade products they sell, to be displayed at the reception. CT to provide table cloths for this table display. BR to provide labels for the display. [BR notes meeting's praise of FStJ's initiative!]

Acceptances

34 people had responded, some of whom will bring a partner, so numbers expected are 50 to 60. CT to invite a further representative of the University Energy and Environment office.

Food and receptacles for it

Some Traidcraft dried fruit and other sweet items to be ordered in addition to salted peanuts, plantain chips and Bombay mix, to the value of about £70. Remainder to be spent on crisps; AM finding out about the local source. MR and AM to provide bowls.

25 litres fruit juice and 18 l sparkling water have been bought; still have to buy more wine.

Glasses and jugs

FStJ arranging for loan of c. 100 wine and water/ juice glasses from the Students' Union, and also water jugs.

These have been hired from Fishers, to be delivered to P&MR, and returned by them afterwards.

Unused food and drink

This is to be kept for stall at Fairtrade Fortnight stall in Morrisons next March. [BR notes that since the CC is paying for around three-quarters of the event, three-quarters of the leftovers will belong to it. Hence he and MR now recommend that as much as possible be returned to suppliers for refund so that CC's final bill is as small as possible.]

Press coverage

MR liaising with the Citizen. Availability checked of members for meeting with photographer, possibly on Friday 25th Nov in late afternoon. FStJ liaising with The Saint re. coverage.

Finance

All receipts for goods bought to be passed to BR to be forwarded to CC. [BR notes that early delivery of these bills (i.e. by 7 December) is essential since he will be moving his kit out of St ANdrews the following week.]

2. Directory

BR liaising with FStJ about possibility of printing the colour cover at the University, and is hoping to print the black-and-white pages by the end of this week. P&MR and AM to collate and staple the booklets. MR to contact Northpoint re. a quotation. [BR notes that

• 100 copies are printed: pp2-11 on Community Council's laser printer (with grateful thanks to Pete Lindsay for doing this), pp01, 12 on BR's inkjet printer.
• Printed sheets handed over to PR for collation and stapling.
• Cost of ink was £14, invoice to be passed to Student's Association who have agreed to pay for this.]

3. Fliers
