Town booklet

  • The design for a front cover by J. M. Robinson was discussed and some suggestions will be forwarded to her for inclusion of further Fairtrade items, and the use of our own town logo.
  • BR had requested comments on the suggested text and layout.
  • Further quotes will be sought to make up two pages of local comments about Fairtrade.
  • PR suggested producing successive editions of the booklet on differently coloured paper in order to make them readily distinguishable.

Flier

  • AC had produced a small flier (Don't miss out!) to be handed out around town centre shops and businesses about the Directory, asking those who wish to be included to contact MR by the end of October.
  • We envisage producing up to 500 of these.

Funding and Bank Account

  • HLF application had been submitted, and the account (currently £133.45 in credit) with the Co-operative Bank had been set up.

  • P. Lindsay of the St Andrews Community Council had offered use of their laser printer if required, and had suggested that they might be able to help the Campaign through a Supporting Membership Subscription Scheme.
  • Other costs, such as for postage, could be covered by a cash grant (BR to liaise).

November 30 Declaration Event

  • Venue at the Victory Memorial Hall, 5-6 pm, had been confirmed.
  • MR to invite two further possible speakers, and to ask Citizen to include a press release about the event the previous Friday (Nov. 25th);
  • AC to invite D. Miller of Courier to cover the event.
  • Nearer the time find out if Kingdom FM, Radio Tay, BBC are interested in coming along. Possible refreshments were discussed. MR to ask Alldays, and the Anstruther Co-op., if they could provide wine/fruit juice at a discount, and lend/hire glasses; and to enquire about possibility of getting AquaAid bottled water.
  • MR to contact Flora Selwyn about possibility of having the event included in the Selected Events column, in the Nov/Dec issue of St Andrews in Focus.

Fairtrade Fortnight (6-19 March 2006)

  • AC to ask Fairtrade Foundation to send MR an order form for Fairtrade goods for supermarket stall.
  • MR to contact Morrisons regarding having a stall there for one Saturday in the fortnight.

AC requested comments on an article she had drafted about the town campaign for the Courier.
