OverviewThis meeting was limited to discussing the functions of the 4 office bearers and seeking nominations. Business arising from 10 May 2005 was held over until the next meeting. PresentBruce Ryan, Alice Curteis, Marie Robinson, Peter RobinsonApologiesAudrey SaltersOffice bearers' functions agreed to be the followingChairpersonguiding debate at meetings, acting as a figurehead, for example in dealings with the press, having a casting vote, potentially one of the three signatories for chequesVice chairpersonacting as chairperson in his/her absence, potentially a signatory, keeping the membership logSecretaryreceiving and writing correspondence, writing minutes and issuing them to steering group members, compiling agendasTreasurermanaging the bank account, producing list of transactions between meetings, producing a financial report at the AGM, acting as a signatoryNominationsEach of the following accepted nomination; voting will take place at the next meeting. Chairperson: AliceSecretary: MarieTreasurer: BruceAs yet no nominations for Vice chairperson AOBDeclaration venueBruce had spoken to Ken Crichton about sharing the Community Council's booking of the Victory Memorial Hall as the venue for our declaration during the St Andrews Festival (sic, no longer St Andrews Week), 24 - 30 Nov. Marie to write to Ken and to Joe Peterson to pursue this. It would be helpful to have a fallback position if this does not work out. Hope Park Church Hall was mentioned as a possibility - Audrey to be consulted. Declaration applicationAlice to complete the application form requesting that St Andrews be given Fairtrade status on the basis of our achievements so far.
